Nova Sanders – the CEO of Sanders inc., a multibillion enterprise was at the back of his Mercedes, clutching his head tight, fighting against a horrible headache that’s killing him. The moment he stepped into the headquarters a creepy silence filled the 8 storey building. “Where is Alex?” Nova growled like a hungry lion ready to pounce on its prey. He was expecting his idiot secretary and his dirt like coffee. He just needs a scapegoat to dump all his frustrations at this point. Instead he was greeted with a bright smile. “Good morning boss! Here’s your headache pills and hot water”, Alex said with a smile. Nova snatched those little pellets and gulped them down. And with that little magic, his headache disappeared into thin air. “Here’s your chili cheese sandwich and a cup of iced latte, my wife told me that a kick of sugar in the morning can make the day sweet” Alex said with his contagious smile and Nova too was caught up in that smile. The sight of delicious food instantly turned the growling lion into a happy bunny. Nova sipped his latte like a 5 year old and walked to his office.
Nova lifted his head from the tonnes of files and glanced the man in front him. Alex was one of the few souls who still loved him and cared for him. But all these days he was acting like a jerk, treating him like trash and still this man gave him his favorite iced latte! “Alex, I’m sorry for all those days that I acted like a jerk” Nova blurted out to silence his guilty heart. “You were right, all these days I hated you too, I hated this job. But last night I realized I’m one of those lucky people who have a loving wife and a dream job. So, I decided to cherish it and it worked!” Alex replied with a bright smile. “Let’s cherish this life” Nova said and they both returned to their world of paperworks.
Julia ran through the streets like a mad dog. Under the blazing sun, the concrete floor felt like a microwave ready to melt her. She was covered in sweats, running out of breath. But none of those reasons could stop her. Why? Cause she was already 10mins late to her meeting with “THE CEO”. The traffic goddess made sure Julia had a hell of a day. She started at 9 from her home. But it took her almost 2hrs for a 45minutes drive. The cab got stuck in the traffic and she had no other option but to get down and run as fast as she could. It was the most important meeting to close a 2 Million deal with their VVIP client. But the papers were in her hands. Damn! And the man she is to meet is an arrogant beast famous for his cranky attitude. “Whoa! I’m finished today. Either he is going to kick me out and cancel the deal so that I end up jobless or he is going to treat me like trash in front of the crowd and I end up killing him and running away. So, in both ways I’m dead” Julia told herself. When she finally reached the building, a man with a bright smile guided her to the CEO’s office. NOVA SANDERS the name itself brought shivers. Julia took a deep breath and stepped into the room that felt like a dragon’s den. “I’m extremely sorry Mr. Sanders. I’m sure I don’t deserve your forgiveness. So please bear with my stupidity and hope it won’t hurt our deal” Julia kept on rambling on and on while fixing her gaze on the floor. Nova’s usual self would have kicked this girl out. How could she be 10MINUTES late. But today, he felt like laughing at the girl blurting out her heart. she seemed cute. He looked at the cup of latte that was sitting on the table, “maybe the sugar is really making me sweet” he laughed to himself.
The sound of laughter broke Julia’s guilt train and brought her back to reality. She lifted her head to see the arrogant CEO smiling like a 5-year old. “Did he hurt his head and became mad” Julia thought, cause the man she met last week was a cruel villain much creepy than scar from lion king. But this man was smiling like sunshine. “It’s alright miss Julia. Take your seat. I can see it wasn’t your fault. Let’s get this deal signed off, shall we?” he flashed his million dollar smile.
“Whoa what a day!” Julia smiled when the gentle breeze stroked her face. The million dollars deal was safely tugged in her bag. “It was destined to be a disaster but ended up being one of those miraculous days when the universe decides to help me out” she thought to herself. A pretty little butterfly landed on her shoulder. “Who know? this little beauty might be the reason why I am smiling now” Julia smiled to herself when the beautiful creature flapped its wings and flew away to begin another miracle for someone else.
